Africa Tech Summit Nairobi Unveils 12 Investor-Ready Startups to Watch in 2026

The Africa Tech Summit Nairobi 2026 has announced a curated cohort of 12 innovative African startups selected to showcase their ventures at the highly anticipated Investment Showcase, scheduled for February 11-12, 2026 at the Sarit Expo Centre in Nairobi. 

The selected companies represent a breadth of cutting-edge sectors including payments, Web3, climate tech, EdTech, healthtech, and digital services — reflecting the continent’s growing tech ecosystem and its role in solving core economic and social challenges. 

“Driving investment is the core goal of the Africa Tech Summit. This year’s selected cohort features ventures that are solving Africa’s challenges with sustainable, scalable impact models,” said Mark Mugenwa, Business Development Manager at Africa Tech Summit. 

Startups Leading the Charge

Among the 12 ventures set to pitch to investors and global partners are:

  • Hizo (Pan-Africa) – Innovating intra-African payments with seamless send, spend and receive capabilities across borders.  
  • Vepay (Nigeria) – A platform enabling fast, secure cross-border payments for individuals and businesses.  
  • Timart (Nigeria) – Tackling inventory and revenue challenges for Nigerian SMEs with digital solutions.  
  • Winich Farms (Nigeria) – Connecting smallholder farmers directly to markets and financial services.  
  • Pretium (Kenya) – Bridging existing payment rails with blockchain-enabled ecosystems.  
  • Innobid (Kenya) – Leveraging AI to expand access to procurement opportunities for marginalised entrepreneurs.  
  • Zerobionic (Kenya) – A disability-led startup turning plastic waste into AI-driven humanoid robots that translate speech into real-time sign language.  
  • Chefaa (Egypt) – Tackling barriers in pharmacy access and recurring prescriptions.  
  • Bekia (Egypt) – Digitising waste collection and recycling to improve environmental outcomes.  
  • Bosso Africa (Zambia) – Using AI to streamline sourcing and logistics for construction materials.  
  • Niteon (Nigeria) – Linking African manufacturers and farmers to broader market opportunities.  
  • TIBU Health (Kenya) – Bringing primary and chronic care innovations to underserved communities.  

A Platform for Scale and Investment

The Investment Showcase remains a central highlight of the summit, designed to give startups exposure to investors, strategic partners, and ecosystem experts. Each startup will pitch live and engage in interactive sessions aimed at refining business strategies and unlocking growth capital. 

The event — part of one of Africa’s most significant tech gatherings — brings together policymakers, entrepreneurs, corporates, and global investors to foster collaboration, unlock funding opportunities, and accelerate the continent’s tech innovation agenda.
