eTranzact Reaffirms Commitment to Driving Nigeria’s Digital Economy Through Innovation
Abuja, Nigeria – Leading financial technology company, eTranzact Plc, has reiterated its commitment to supporting Nigeria’s economic development by expanding innovative digital payment solutions and strengthening the country’s digital infrastructure.
Speaking at the Nigeria Employers’ Summit 2026, organised by the Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA) in Abuja, the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Niyi Toluwalope, said digital payments have become more than a tool for processing transactions, describing them as a foundation for sustainable economic growth.
Represented by Abubakar Achimugu, Executive Director and Group Head of the Public Sector Division, Toluwalope noted that modern economies increasingly depend on Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), which integrates secure digital identity, trusted data exchange and efficient payment systems to improve governance and service delivery.
He observed that Nigeria has made notable progress in building its digital ecosystem, with over 100 million National Identity Number (NIN) registrations and more than 60 million Bank Verification Number (BVN) enrollments, providing a solid platform for expanding digital services nationwide.
According to him, while government establishes the regulatory framework, the private sector plays a critical role in developing, deploying and scaling digital infrastructure that powers commerce and public administration.
Toluwalope explained that every secure digital transaction creates reliable records that enhance transparency, reduce financial leakages and improve confidence in government institutions and the wider economy.
He highlighted eTranzact’s range of digital solutions, including electronic invoicing, pension payment platforms, electronic verification systems and central billing services, which are helping both public institutions and private organisations improve efficiency and modernise operations.
The CEO added that the company’s technology platforms enable businesses and government agencies to deliver faster, safer and more transparent services while supporting Nigeria’s ongoing digital transformation agenda.
He also emphasised that digital innovation contributes significantly to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) objectives by promoting financial inclusion, strengthening accountability and enhancing operational efficiency across sectors.
Reaffirming the company’s long-term vision, Toluwalope said eTranzact remains committed to partnering with government, regulators and businesses to build a trusted digital payment ecosystem capable of delivering measurable economic impact.
Also speaking at the summit, Adedayo Adejokun, who oversees Federal Government Business Partnerships at eTranzact, said the company’s support for the event reflects its dedication to inclusive economic growth and sustainable development.
She explained that eTranzact’s role extends beyond payment processing, focusing on simplifying interactions between citizens, businesses and government through innovative digital solutions. According to her, expanding opportunities for private-sector participation will stimulate investment, improve productivity and create more employment opportunities for Nigerians.
The summit attracted key stakeholders from government and the private sector and featured the unveiling of the ESG Implementation Guide for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), designed to encourage sustainable business practices across Nigeria.
