The Federal Government has commissioned a new Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Innovation Hub at Obafemi Awolowo University, marking another milestone in Nigeria’s efforts to strengthen digital skills development.
The facility, established through NITDA and government partners, is designed to provide students and researchers with access to advanced technologies, innovation programs, and entrepreneurial opportunities in AI and robotics.
Officials say the hub will help nurture future innovators, encourage research commercialization, and equip young Nigerians with skills required in the rapidly evolving digital economy. The initiative also supports the country’s ambition to become a regional technology and innovation leader.
